Why come to Contra Costa College?
It is one of the most unique community colleges in the world. Where else can you find over 57 languages spoken in one place and even more cultures. It is a gem of the California Community College system where Administrators and Faculty and Staff and Students work together side by side. Not only that, we all get along pretty well.

The most wonderful thing about community colleges is if somehow you missed it in grammar school, or high school, you can come to us and learn it; and then move on to covering the material you need to transfer for a higher degree, or move on to covering the material you need to get a job.

All this leads to the possibility of a good educational environment. Contra Costa College is a place where good education happens.

What to see at Contra Costa College?
  • The HPC Center is currently in the AA building in room AA-133. You can see our two permanent clusters there as well as four labs composed of about 120 Microsoft PC workstations, which becomes one huge cluster under the spell of Dr. Paul Gray's Bootable Cluster CD (BCCD)
  • We have a stellar culinary arts program on campus, also in the AA building, specifically AA-239. If they happen to be offering a lunch, you are in for a gourmet treat
  • The Center for Science Excellence (CSE) is an amazing program which facillitates learning through an elaborate support structure.
