Sentinels of Freedom Student veterans are a unique population, with unique needs. In recognition of this fact, Sentinels of Freedom is a non-profit that assist severely wounded or injured, Post-9/11 veterans in their efforts to receive their higher education. Sentinels of Freedom’s program is a called The Bridge for Education, a program that helps fill the gaps GI Bill payments do not cover. This allows for veterans to focus their attention on their studies, career, and family. Looking for financial help in receiving your degree with Contra Costa College? Let Sentinels of Freedom help you achieve your goals! Sentinels of Freedom works with Contra Costa College to offer a physical and emotional “safe space” for veterans to connect, share, and support each other in a calm, quiet environment (particularly important for veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder and/or traumatic brain injury.)
