Automotive Collision Repair
At Contra Costa College, you’ll spend more than two-thirds of your time in an impressive on-campus automotive collision repair shop, working with many different vehicles and the latest tools, hands-on.
All of our professors are I-CAR and Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified, and our program follows I-CAR’s industry-standard curriculum. After you complete the two-year program, you’ll be eligible to take the I-CAR Steel and Aluminum Welding Qualification Tests. You’ll also be eligible to take all ASE collision certification tests.
You’ll get training in all six ASE collision repair areas. And, our Certificate of Achievement in Auto Collision Repair Technology even counts as one year of professional experience toward your ASE certification. If you’re hoping to get an entry-level job, be more competitive, or move into management or sales, you’ll probably want to pursue one of our two-year certificates of achievement.
But, if you’d like a broader education, or even to transfer to a four-year university with an associate degree, we’re also a great place to start.
