Compass Center

Empowering students through resources, compassionate care and understanding while eliminating barriers, and supporting students one fundamental need at a time.

The Compass Center (Basic Needs Services) is here to point students in the right direction. College is an exciting journey, and we believe that access to good food, safe housing, and mental health support should never stand in your way. This website serves as an online resource for information on food, housing, health & wellness, and financial stability resources. Whether you’re on campus at Contra Costa College or in the greater San Pablo community, we’re here to help!

At Contra Costa College, we are committed to your academic achievements. To make this happen, we prioritize social justice, support networks, and equity for all students. Our goal is to ensure you have the necessary resources to thrive during your college experience.

It’s a system designed to support your financial well-being and overall success in school. We want to make sure everyone has access to nutritious food, comfortable and secure housing for sleeping, studying, cooking, and showering, as well as healthcare services for your mental and physical well-being. Affordable transportation, resources for personal hygiene, and assistance for students with dependents are also a part of this ecosystem.
