Associated Student Union

The Associated Student Union of Contra Costa College (ASUCCC) is the official student government at CCC. Their primary purpose is to advance the welfare of all students. They do this by providing programs and services designed to meet the varied needs of students, sponsoring activities and events, and representing the student body on many College and District committees, as well as state-wide advocacy.

Student Activity Fee​

This fee is $5 per semester and allows the Contra Costa College Associated Students Union (ASU) to provide funding for campus clubs, events, activities, and campus-based programs that will benefit the student population. Examples of programs which the activity fee could support are student scholarships, textbook scholarships, multi-cultural campus events, and community resource outreach programs.​

  • Give FREE school supplies to over 3,500 students on campus​
  • Provide $7,000 worth of bus passes and gas cards to Single Stop for the Emergency Transportation Program​
  • Provide $10,000 worth of scholarships for new and continuing students, middle college, and graduating high school seniors attending Contra Costa College​
  • Contribute $15,000 to the Contra Costa College Book Rental Program to reduce the rental price for all students​
  • Provide bookstore grants to support Veteran students on campus​
  • Provide new textbooks on reserve in the library for Contra Costa College students​

To opt out of paying this fee please, contact the Student Life Office. Requests for refunds must be turned in (each semester) to the cashier’s office BEFORE  the last day of the refund period (as outlined in the course schedule and or catalogue).

ASU Senator Application

  1. A cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 or better
  2. Enrolled in at least 5 units at Contra Costa College
  3. Complete ASU Senator Application
  4. Participate in 30-day probation period

This position is a volunteer role to serve as an ASU Student Representative for a semester. Student Representatives will sit on at least one college committee, attend the regularly scheduled meetings of the committee and report back to the ASUCCC Board.

Student Rep Application

  1. A cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 or better
  2. Enrolled in at least 5 units at Contra Costa College
  3. Complete ASU Student Representative Application
  4. Participate in Student Representative Training

Clubs + Organizations

Clubs at CCC are student-led organizations that all begin with finding similar interests and goals. 

Joining a club is a great way to get involved and enhance your college experience. There are all kinds of clubs, and they change periodically with the varying interests of the student body. ​

Learn more about how to join or create your own club by submitting an interest form, or stop by the Student Life Office, SAB 101 and one of our amazing Student Ambassadors will assist you with the process. 

Inter-Club Council (ICC)
The Inter-Club Council (ICC) is the coordinating body of all CCC student clubs and organizations. Although membership is not required, it is highly recommended if possible. Club representatives can vote on behalf of their club, request funds, and/or use ICC as a forum of expression. ​

Club Forms
ICC Meeting Agenda + Minutes
  1. Have at least one (1) advisor (employee of the college)​ 
  2. An approved Club Constitution created by the club members​ 
  3. Download and complete the CCC Club Charter Packet ​– New form coming July 1st, 2024.  
  4. Submit your documents to the Student Life Office, SAB 101 or email them to studentlife@contracosta.edu 
  5. Applications for new clubs can be submitted by October 1 (Fall), and March 1 (Spring).

Every club must re-charter at the beginning of the semester. Deadline to submit re-charter is October 1 (Fall), and March 1 (Spring).  

If any revisions have been made to the club/organization constitution, a copy must also be submitted to the Student Life Office. Clubs may continue to use their previous constitution if they wish.

Clubs coordinate, and collaborate on, several activities that include informational and cultural aspects. All club events and activities are open to all students to attend. ​

SAVE THE DATE — Club Rush happens every semester, roughly within the first month, where clubs have a chance to come together to recruit members and have a good time highlighting their clubs’ meaning and interests with the CCC community.​
