Foundation Supports African American Male Symposium For Third Year

The Contra Costa College Foundation is cosponsoring the African American Male Symposium (AASM) for the third consecutive year, taking place on Friday November 19. The Symposium is an annual event put on by the African American Male Leadership program and will include lectures by professionals from campus and the community on:

  • Financial Literacy
  • Fatherhood
  • Developing a College Going Mindset
  • Life Skills and Needs

The event is for students from Contra Costa College as well as from the West Contra Costa Unified School District’s African American Student Achievement (AASA) program. Other students from area high schools are also welcomed.

This year, the Symposium will be at Contra Costa College in General Education Building room 205 (proof of vaccination required) as well as livestreamed. If you know someone who could benefit from the AAMS, please contact the leads:
