Get A Head Start on College with High School College Connection!
The High School College Connection (HSCC) program is a FREE concurrent enrollment summer program that allows high school students in the West Contra Costa County Unified School District to take college classes while still earning high school credits.
Since 2012, HSCC has provided students with the opportunity to explore college courses, gain valuable experience in a college setting, and receive additional support such as coaching, mentorship, and embedded tutoring.
The program is based at Contra Costa College and open to all eligible WCCUSD students interested in getting a head start on their college education and exploring different career fields.

Steps to Apply
If you didn’t attend CCC last semester, the first step is to complete an online application through CCCApply.
Create an OpenCCC account if you’re a new user, select that you are a K-12 student enrolling in college courses, and submit your application. You’ll receive a confirmation email within 24 hours with your CCC student ID and InSite login details.

After submitting your application, check your email within 24 hours for your Contra Costa College student ID and InSite login details.
InSite is the student portal where you’ll access important information, including class registration and college communications.
If you don’t receive an email, check your spam/junk folder or contact Admissions & Records at admissions@contracosta.edu or 510-215-6027 for assistance.
Complete the Math Guided Self-Placement using your CCC username and password. Answer the survey questions to receive your placement. Please allow 24 hours for your results to be processed.
Complete the Concurrent Enrollment Form with your high school counselor and discuss registering for a Contra Costa College class. If approved, the form must be signed by your high school principal and a parent. Be sure to include the specific class section you’re enrolling in.

Complete the High School College Connection Application to officially enroll in the program. This step ensures you receive program support, including tutoring and career exploration opportunities.
Finalize your spot in the HSCC program and confirm your summer course.
