Hi there! I teach Engineering, Physics, and Computer Science at Contra Costa College. I have more than 20 years of teaching experience in both graduate and undergraduate-level courses. I began teaching at CCC in 2018. My teaching includes in-person courses, hybrid courses, and fully online courses. I am also a mentor of our Center of Science Excellence (CSE) program.
Prior to teaching at CCC, I was a military officer in Taiwan’s army. I was stationed at the National Defense University in Taiwan for 26 years until I retired at the rank of Colonel in 2011. After retiring from the military, I worked in a private company as a vibration analyst and moved to the US in 2015. I got a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering in 1987 from the National Defense University. I got a master’s degree from the Systems Engineering program at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA in 1993. I completed my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 1996 at the University of Washington.
Outside of school, I enjoy hiking and running as well as traveling.
