The Office of Student Life supervises and authorizes all campus publicity. All individuals and organizations wishing to post on the CCC campus bulletin boards must bring their postings directly to the Office of Student Life (SAB 101) for approval.
The posting, distributing, or disseminating of printed materials that advertise, publicize, or otherwise provide notice of activities, events or information are subject to the following regulations:
- All printed materials must include the name and contact information of the sponsoring individuals, or organization.
- All printed materials written in a language other than English must be accompanied by an English translation.
- Any printed material deemed to be slanderous, libelous, obscene, offensive or pornographic will not be accepted for posting.
- Except as specified in these guidelines, no printed material may be placed on or against, attached to, or written on any structure or natural feature of the campus, such as, but not limited to doors, walkways, roads, posts, fences, waste receptacles, plants or shelters.
- No printed materials may be left unattended on campus grounds or inside campus buildings without prior permission of the Student Life Coordinator.
- Publicity may not be affixed to or left on cars in the CCC parking lots.
- No posting may be done in college buildings without the permission of the Student Life Coordinator, or the divisional or department office occupying the respective building.
Once approval is received, the Office of Student Life staff will stamp your materials and direct you to the approved bulletin boards. You may not use scotch tape or staples to hang any materials anywhere other than the bulletin boards after you receive approval. Masking tape must be used to secure posters to the glass surfaces of the Office of Student Life and any other glass surface on campus. Any unapproved postings will be subject to immediate removal.
Please provide 5-10 copies of your printed materials for posting. You may also email Angela Loera (aloera@contracosta.edu) an 8 1/2” x 11” flyer which will be reproduced and posted on designated boards around campus.
